New England Aster – [SUN to PARTIAL]

(Aster novae angliae) Large and showy, bright rose-purpled flowers with orange-yellow centers bloom in profusion at the tips of the leafy branches. Native wildflower, 3′-6′ tall, partial shade to sun. Attracts pollinators (butterflies and/or bees). Deer resistant. Rain Garden appropriate.
